The Dark Souls games are a funny old series. We’re sure they could’ve worked around that problem if they really wanted but… they didn’t. GC: You can play the game offline, but the saves are completely separate. I understand it in the Elusive Contracts that should be dropping, as it is designed for you to only have one crack at it, but surely they are setting themselves up for trouble by forcing in the normal story contracts? Seems like an odd choice to me unless I am missing something blatant. I have heard that this game is always online and that people have had issues being disconnected and it chucking them out of their game, surely this isn’t just to track the leaderboards? I particularly like the fact that you can track Opportunities and it’ll essentially guide you to getting a unique kill, and also that it has feats and challenges for you to go back and tackle. The amount of options and freedom is what I was after and they supply that in abundance.
I’ve ‘finished’ the first season or episode of Hitman and I was pretty impressed.
